Sooooo, there are a couple of ways that the Science Club can volunteer as a group. The first way is through campus events like tabling at the Club Fairs, there's another tabling event where we promote the STEM and CSEMS scholarships, and if 3LF does it's Sustainability Fair or if the Health Fair happens again we have a chance to table there as well.
Another thing that I agreed that we'd do is a Marrow Donor Drive. I work at a lab that processes the cells for the program and we might be able to arrange a tour or have someone come and speak on the topic. What our actual volunteering will be involves helping the Donor Drive staff set up, stay organized and getting students to participate. We will know more about this soon.
The next Club Fair is:
Wednesday, September 10th from 10am - 1pm.
I will be there the whole time with my daughter.
Kris will be there for a bit in the morning.
A whole slew of you...Matt, Bonnie, Laura, and Preston will show up around noon.
Tanya will be in and out.
This event is pretty fun, a lot of people are generally interested and last year it added like 20 people to our mailing list!
