Parke had mentioned making sure we have a show reserved for the maintenance staff (apparently they've wanted to see it for sometime)during a slow time.  Maybe 2 pm or 3 pm.

I really think we should consider having a few seats reserved for every show too. There will be some people with limited windows of opportunity that would love to see the show.

I agree that reserved seats are important but what I'd hate to see is this scenario:  The cafeteria is full, there is a huge buzz about the dome and a line waiting to get in.  They are doing quick 12 min. shows.  Then, science club members and others are seen butting in line....I just don't like the way this looks to the rest of the student body.  Plus, I feel like the science dorks, er...folks, will want to see the longer programs anyways.  For the people with limited windows, I guess we can do our best to get everyone into a scheduled show (not the 12min. short ones) who signs up.
So there will be scheduled shows, maybe four before and after the lunch rush, which will be a free for all.
What do you think?

I still think we should have one reserved show every hour.  Between the science club, astronomy class, staff, maintenance, and perhaps others, we should have one reserved per hour.  Then we can have three other non-reserved shows per hour.  Are we still aiming to end at 5:30 pm?

So would that be 8 reserved shows?

And what about the shorter 12min. shows?

I think the 12 minute shows should be 1st come 1st serve.  Should the reserved shows be 15 or 20 minutes long?

right, right, so would there be a reserved show and then what....either the 12min. ones or more longer shows....I'm confused.  Can you just detail what you purpose?
For example:
Each hour will start with a 30 min. reserved show followed by 12min. first come first serve shows.
Because I am really feeling the limitations of the term, "show."
Thanks!

I may also be confused.  Since I've never been in the Exploradome, I may have an idea of how it runs that is different from the way it actually happens.  So this is something along what I was envisioning:

Open with a 12 minute show, have a 5 minute break, have the reserved show 20 minutes, 5 minute break, 12 minute show, 5 minute break.  New hour begins here.

Since that means only 3 shows per hour, I pondered for a while and came up with an alternative:

Open with a 10 minute show, have a 5 minute break, have the reserved 15 minute show, 5 minute break, 10 minute show, 5 minute break, 10 minute show.  Begin next hour with a 5 minute break...or the same show we ended with.  With this combination we have 4 shows, one reserved.

Does this make sense?

From what Bryan said, they can cut shows down to the length of time we have for them.  Perhaps I misunderstood.  I'm not sure.

Can you communicate with Sally (is that her name) this so we know for sure what we are working with?  Also, perhaps you or I could call her to ask for suggestions for our two different scenarios.  Let's try to get a hold of her by tomorrow.

I talked with Park and he mentioned that if everyone lays down they can get like 20--25 people in the dome.
What this means to me is we can have less reserved long shows because we can get the science club and astronomy class and maintenance people to lay down.

Parke and Kirk will be at the officer's meeting so hopefully we'll be able to get all things dome and meeting related solidified for the rest of the semester....

We forgot to give Sally, the other person, and Parke a lunch break.  I need to ask if we can take keep going or if we need to stop for 30-60 minutes.  I can't believe I forgot that!
